Here is an
Old Copper Sailboat with Striped Sales & Pilothouse Weathervane
in good used condition.
Like striking regatta racing stripes faded by time, unusually patterned diagonal stripes adorn both copper sails.
Three full length dark patina stripes alternate with four light stripes on mainsail. Foresail has two dark and light stripes.
This is the only example of this weathervane form we have discovered. Uncertain if this was artisan crafted or manufactured, apparently unsigned.
Circa at least mid-century.
Weathervane's copper sails rigged to a copper hull; and retaining its original surface with Sailboat Dimensions:
Length 21" X Overall Height from base to top of Main Mast 20" X Beam 3-1/2".
Please note: weathervane has verdigris and surface oxidation typical from many years outdoors stationed on a roof, but no holes or cracks; and is sold as pictured. Sorry, no directionals as found.
