Description
Good antique/vintage condition, but NO TRIPOD, ONLY the part in the actual item photos. This is from a storage locker sale, the guy was leaving for law school and had to clean it out fast, I do not know the precise age or history, but looks old to me. I looked up Greenfield Tap & Die and from what I found the company was founded in 1912, was critical to the war effort in WWII and there were a series of mergers around 1958, when I presume the name was changed. Little Giant brand products have been around from 1876 until present, so no help. Looked up patent number 1653926 and"1927-12-20
Armstrong Bros Tool Co" was indicated. Indications are this tool is late 1920s to 1930s (on the basis that few normally site patents for more than 10 years later on their products).
Please check all the actual item photos.
