Late 19th c American Folk Art Molded Copper Full Body Running Horse Weathervane.
Weathervane comes from Connecticut, previously owned by a collector of American.
We purchased at Auction 30 years ago to add to our collection.
Weathervane displays a full body Copper Horse that has been soldered around edges~ Solid Intact Completely.
Consists of original rod for mounted horse w/ one Large & one Small Brass Balls w/ Nice Patina.
Directionals have verdigris surface about, also completely solid ~ Early screws hold pieces in place.
This Weathervane base rod sits onto of a cast iron rounded base as seen in photos.
It's a Very Good Detailed Full Body Weathervane that survived the last 130 yrs.
Condition is as seen in photos ~ no issues ~ Representative of age but much better.
Measures: 48 1/4" Total Height ~ Horse 30" Length x 13 1/4" Height x 1 1/4" Depth.
Brass Balls: Large Ball 4" Height x 4 1/2" d. ~ Small Ball 2" Height x 2 1/2" d.
Directionals  Measure 18" E-W / 18" N-S. Weathervane as seen in photos,  weighs  23 lb. unpackaged.
Original Antique Weathervanes are very collectible and bring good money today.
