Description
1800s Aesthetic Victorian Cast Iron Lightning Rod Weathervane With Directionals. The E needs to be welded back on if you have a 30 to 50 year experienced welder close by. There is too much carbon in cast iron to be taken lightly. The second and most simple choice is to have it brazed back on. Most any good welder can braze. This historical weathervane stands approximately 65” tall with the bottom brace on it. The weathervane arrow is about 28” long. The directionals are about 26” long. This weighs 40lbs give or take. It would be beautiful after blasting, primed and painted with OIL base paint. On the top of the arrow at the end there is some kind of a little piece missing. Maybe you know what it could be. I hope that this makes its way back to New England where it probably came from or along the California coast.
